I've moved
I have given up with Tumblr, it has its good posters (indeed the majority of the people i follow) but it has also its fair share of fad-politicians and fad-feminists. Reblogging things because they are popular and not allowing counter arguments by making it morally impossibly to argue back without being an ‘evil person’.
I have instead taken residence in the land of Wordpress.

Britain Still Has Terrorists
Six people were arrested today in London, related to terrorism charges.
It may be the case that this group of six are terrorists, or maybe it is simply another ploy to remind the public that we should be afraid.
Fear is used globally to keep the masses in check. From the economy to Iran, from Bird Flu to power outtages. If you keep people afraid of what might be they ignore what is.
With the...

Remembering Colonialism (Independance Day)
How did I manage to get sucked in to the jingoist furore about Independance day. No I am not an American and no I was not celebrating Independance day, quite the reverse I was complaining that we let them get away and become the mess they have become.
Little did I remember it seems now that there was a much more important point to be remembered. The Native American’s and also the slaves....

Two Thoughts
Minister for Education Michael Gove is said to be doing away with GCSEs for tougher O-level style exams. If he does this, this will leave youths with not only a weak economy to try and find jobs in but also no exam results of any worth. The lost generation are becoming ever more lost.
Second thought: Scientists are trying to find the gay gene but will this help? Yes if they find it, it gives a...

help I’m in love with president Obama
The man who didn’t close Guantanamo Bay? The man who personally clears the use of drones in Pakistan? The man who has designated any man old enough to carry a weapon in a pro-militant area an enemy which causes all drone attacks to have no civilian casualties?
Or the man who supports gay marriage and Obamacare?

A:Check to see if your nuclear weapons can last longer…
as the Specials sang “Ain’t you heard of the starving millions?” surely this computer could aid crop production or food distribution or maybe even select a new head of state who could save the world.

perverse incentives →
Strikers in Britain have lost more ground in the ever marching fight against direct action:
Low paid strikers, those in most need of their wages, will now no longer be able to top up their wages from the government for days missed due to strike action.
This will now be a strong incentive for politically active workers to give up and carry on working - if they strike they run the risk of losing...

What Happened to Heroes?
Hero refers to people who, in the face of danger and adversity or from the position of underdog, display courage and self sacrifice for a ‘greater good’. Originally a term used only for military situations but not it is used for any, and all ‘excellences’.
The term hero has come now to mean near enough anyone and everyone. Those involved in the events depicted in...

THE TRAP
Three documentaries by Adam Curtis. They cover the ideas of freedom and how we have been duped in to being part of a freedom that is not free. I recommend watching all of them if you have the time but no matter what you should definitely watch the last one. It is quite shocking really. THE TRAP - Adam Curtis

The West knows Best!
“We now have to send a very clear message to people in Greece: there is a choice. You can either vote to stay in the euro, with all the commitments you’ve made, or if you vote another way you’re effectively voting to leave.” -David Cameron on how to deal with the Greek crisis.
This clear message I am going to assume shall be full of such subtle threats as “incredibly...

MTV wants your virginity!
MTV wants young adults (18yr olds) to lose their viginity on TV.
MTV wishes to film people going out to get rid of their ‘v’ card and then sell it. What do you get? Well you get your five minutes of fame and you get rid of that horrible burden of virginity…

A pre-emptive apology
I am being followed (not in a creepy way) by at least one feminist and I am following a few more (I don’t know where I keep finding them). So before I do or say something accidentally that sounds like i’m being a sexist… I am sorry. I am not a sexist and I may never say anything offensive to feminists but I am even worried now about saying things like “a brotherhood of...

2012 London Olympics: Why I am boycotting it
The London 2012 Olympics are a massive corporate frenzy, it is as much about the sports this year as the sponsorship from massive Trans-National-Corporations (TNC).
One thing that has been in the news a lot recently is the fact that any branded goods that are not part of the Olympic sponsors list that are brought on the site can lead to a telling off. (View that HERE).
However, this is not the...

Republican Action Against Drugs (RAAD) are a vigilante group who will find and shoot drug dealers.
Action against drugs and the associated crimes is a good thing - illegal drug use and the procurement of it causes a lot of crime. But the methods this group use are very questionable.

'Religion of Peace' →
I would support websites like this that take religious texts and use their quotes out of context if they did it to all religions. I would also support them if they showed how there is terrorism by all religions and even Atheists. Merely ganging up on one religion isolates it and radicalises its members which makes it worse in the long run.

"Committed to Peace" →
I’m sure its no suprise that the two leaders want peace. What country in their right mind would want a forever war. To say they are both committed to peace makes no comment on how they are seeking this peace. Israel could be seeking peace by removing Palestine completely. Palestine could be seeking peace by bombing Israel in to submission.
It would seem that Palestine wishes to gain peace...

What a beautiful world we live in
On the 30th of April thieves attacked a woman in her home and stole her possessions. Nothing unusual or exceptionally horrific about this at first glance, its merely a robbery. But there is more: Mrs Winnal is 94, is now in hospital and no one has come forward as a witness, so there is now a reward.
What sort of a place is the modern world pensioners are being beaten for their possessions - which...

Milking the money cow: or how to exploit a child
Around 600,000 child abductions happen each year, only one in Britain is cared about. ‘Cared about’ is used in a most loose sense. since her abduction, which in itself is highly contentious, the parents and the media have bought in to the situation with the production of documentaries, books and continual updates within the media. Maddy was only three years old when she was abducted...
